Wait what do you mean it’s August already? The year just started! Regardless, this month has been PACKED. New book launch, signings, drawing, dayjob…if someone can invent an extra week this month that’d be great :’)
Fell Hound’s Updates Roundup!
S.I.R. Issue 1 has launched! It’s finally here - the inaugural issue of S.I.R. (Seismic Ironclash Roulette) has dropped in comic stores! It was such a blast getting to meet new readers across the various signings, and to see folks getting to hold this book in their hands has been surreal. Thanks so much to everyone who picked it up and talked about it, hope you will be back for further jousts in Issue 2!
S.I.R. Issue 2 FOC is TODAY! Monday the 26th. Speaking of, just wanted to remind folks that the Final Order Cutoff for Issue 2 is today! We’ve got a fun issue where we see Avery facing off against…death?? On a motorbike?? This can only mean good things, I think, lol.
S.I.R. Issue 4 now in PREVIEWS - Ft. Audrey Mok!The joust keeps on rolling through! S.I.R. Issue 4 features my favourite cover of the series, as well as this amazing variant by Audrey Mok! This issue we finally witness Nico’s descend into motorcycle infamy :O CVR A (Hound) - SEP240107 CVR B (Mok) - SEP240108
FREE COMICS!
Recently I also announced that my ENTIRE BACK CATALOG is now free to read on my website! Simply click the comic you want and you can find a pdf linked. I realized after having taken down my store, my comics were becoming more inaccessible and I didn’t want that.
So yeah…now they are all free!
RECC’ OF THE MONTH
This month’s recommendation is this brand new anthology courtesy of Dauntless Stories - Tell Them of Us.
"TELL THEM OF US" is a comic anthology that explores the last recorded voices of human civilization, witnessed through the lens of an alien crew discovering a hastily assembled digital archive of our memories: Our attempt, as a species, at both legacy and warning, created in the face of oblivion.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned in comics is that a joint Brent Fisher x Marcus Jimenez project is not something to be missed. I adore the theme of exploring what kind of humanity would be our legacy in the face of extinction. Given recent world events…all the more relevant to think about. This anthology also boasts such a wonderful cast of creators, all of whom deserve a chance to get their stories heard!
